My husband and I are very reserved, very private people so to invite a stranger into our home during the most vulnerable time in our lives was a big deal. By the time Andrea started coming to our house, she didn’t feel like a stranger. Even though our time together didn’t technically start until a couple of weeks after my delivery, she made sure to check in before and directly after I gave birth and reassured me that I could count on her for support.
In the early days, Andrea helped give me confidence when caring for our daughter. She was a tremendous resource, always making sure she answered any questions we had, but spent most of her energy making sure I was in a position to be the best mom I could be. Everything is easier with a good night’s sleep and not only did Andrea allow for this, she was a huge help with our daughter’s laundry and her bottle dishes... help that made it easier for me to spend time with Maya during the day.
Ultimately, I did not breastfeed for very long, but Andrea was a great resource during the time that I was still trying. She was also very supportive when I decided not to continue nursing/pumping.
I know that plenty of women go through this process without help, either familial or otherwise, and I think I was a bit embarrassed to ask for it. Having Andrea’s help made it easier for me to ask for help in other ways, something that has been notoriously difficult for me in the past.
After a few weeks with Andrea coming over for nights and a few hours in the daytime here and there, I was afraid of what would happen when our time together was over. Luckily, she gave me the tools, time, and confidence to thrive as a mom.

We feel incredibly lucky to have had Andrea’s support during the first two months after our son was born. From the moment she stepped into our home, she brought a calm, supportive presence that made such a difference during those early, often overwhelming days.
Andrea was flexible, kind, and incredibly accommodating—always tuning in to what we needed, even when we didn’t know ourselves.
Her gentle guidance and steady presence helped us build confidence as new parents, and we will always be grateful for the peace of mind she gave us during this transition period for our family.

We are so grateful for Andrea! We started working with her a few days after coming home from the hospital with our second baby. On the first night, Andrea helped us make a plan for how to optimize our sleep while she was here, talking through many different setups (only bottles, pumping, nursing). I felt so comfortable handing our few day old baby to Andrea and going right to sleep. Andrea helped our baby sleep in the bassinet, soothed and held her when she needed more support, gave her bottles overnight, and had her fed and sleeping when the night was over. Andrea sent a helpful recap in the morning so we could start off our day knowing how the night went. We are so grateful to Andrea!
Andrea helped care for our daughter overnight for her first 6 weeks of life. During this time Andrea helped us navigate some unexpected difficulties with breastfeeding, providing great advice, encouragement and support. She regularly checked in with us to see how the day was going and helped us build good sleep habits and ease the transition from one to two children. We always felt our daughter was very well cared for and as a result we were able to be well rested and fully enjoy the newborn stage this time around. By the time we were done working with Andrea our daughter was falling asleep independently and doing 5-7 hour stretches overnight. I highly recommend working with Andrea for overnight postpartum care!
